    Hello Robert. Thanks for the opportunity to comment. You may find this interesting. Could be adapted for K-12. I appreciate your efforts to meld Blooms with music. I am a University Professor teaching graduate courses in healthcare in the USA. My graduate studies are in Educational Psychology

    Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Synthesis and Evaluation (analysis is not included in the metaphor…..or is it?)

    If you play a musical instrument you have personal experience that getting better takes time, study, effort and repeated failure. As a metaphor, here are three piano pieces in increasing difficulty. This is an example of transfer of learning or comprehension/understanding/meaning. If you know the meaning of “difficult” then this is a comparative application of increasing levels of difficulty. If you can transfer this to an example unrelated to graduate studies or music then you will show you understand understanding and how to transfer something known to add meaning to something unknown.

    You are now in graduate school. You have had 16 years of formal education plus your life experiences to prepare for this moment. K-12 and your 4 years of undergraduate study.
    This is the equivalent of graduate level challenges and accomplishments:

    Synthesis: Something new and unique.

    Emmanuel Chabrier: French Composer. Originally written for piano. As a new composition this would be “Synthesis” for Bloom

    If you knew how to play the original composition then you would “know” how to play it. If you arranged it for two pianos, the act of a new and unique arrangement would be “Synthesis” for Bloom. If someone then made a new arrangement for orchestra that would be another example of making something new from existing known work. Jazz can be synthesis.

    If you wrote your own rhapsody this would be a new and unique composition unique to you. If new and unique you could copyright it.
